Lamps

I am relocating to Singapore from the States. I would like to bring my lamps. Has anyone had their lamps converted/new plugs etc.?

I bought my lava lamps from The States and had the plug converted. But the easiest way if you'r intending to bring a few lamps is to leave them behind and buy new ones in Singapore as it's less cumbersome. There are a variety at IKEA.

good advise..why go for conversion voltage-buy new ones at mall..

I don't think you can just change the plugs. The voltage here is different than the US. US is 110-130V, whereas sing is 220-240. Most of you appliances and electrical good will not work here unless you buy a converter. If you have any quality equipment, you need a quality converter which costs buckoo bucks.
