Holding 2 EP in the same time

Post by Nakamura1992 » Fri, 04 Aug 2017 9:45 pm

Good Evening !

My scenario:
1. Currently holding Employment Pass from 'Company A' and working in Singapore
2. Get an approval from "Company B" on 1/8/2017

Planning to resign from company A - 1/10/2017

Just to double check with the members,
Will current company A notice or receive any letter that said I been approved for the company B during this 2 month time?

Company A HR can search using your Passport number and see that a new EP is approved. But they wont know the details of your new company. No letter to Company A will be sent.

But, if your HR Mgr is any good and has a lot of movement within the ranks of the FT in his company's employ, he will have his HR Exec do a periodic search every couple of weeks just to see if there are any approvals out there. If there are then he can take appropriate action. Pay raise? Promotion? Early Termination, etc., etc. Beware of the barbed wire. When do you plan on giving your notice? You need to give at least one month by law so tax clearance can be filed timely.
