Single Journey visa
Single Journey visa
Hello!!
I have received my Employment Pass In-principle Approval. My spouse received her Dependent's Pass In-approval Pass. Her IPA letter mentions that it is a single journey visa. What does the term "single journey" mean?
My spouse plans to visit me for a week, return to India and then later join me permanently in a month or two. (She cannot come and reside with me immediately. She has to serve a two month notice period with her current company) Will she have to get a visitor's visa for the first visit? Or would dependent's pass suffice?

Re: Single Journey visa
This means it is a visa just to let you in and once you are Singapore and fulfill the usual EP/DP requirements, you will receive the respective passes with the multiple entry visas. at the same time.mrdube wrote:Hello!!

Re: Single Journey visa
In what time did you get your EP?
Re: Single Journey visa
I would be getting it before my spouse comes in September. I reach SG in Aug, so I think I might get it by the end of the month.
Re: Single Journey visa
@OP: I don't have any recent experience but IMHO the bottle neck would be the medical check if any, so if your EP/DP are subject to such checks you may want to consider:
1) asking MOM (calling them/writing e-mail) if they accept results from your country (probably not)
2) calling a local clinic and asking how long such checks (results) are going to take.
If this comes to the worst your spouse can always come later (IPA has some validity longer than 1 month IIRC) or you apply for an extra visa.

Re: Single Journey visa
What is the ETA for the EP Approval currently? As mine has been pending for around 40 days. I have got a job offer of $7500 with an experience of 5.5 years.
Please help if any clues.

Pun Intended, Single means multiple entries - kidding you.mrdube wrote:Hello!!

It means you can arrive in Singapore ONCE, SINGLE, SOLO, UNO. Next visit to SG, unless you have your pass, you need another VISA.
No, she has to apply for a visa. For each visit to SG. Unless she don't hold an Indian passport. Go and apply via Travel agent.mrdube wrote:My spouse plans to visit me for a week, return to India and then later join me permanently in a month or two. Re: Single Journey visa
Are there any chances of rejection? As it is showing in the Self assessment tool that I am eligible for EP and S Pass.
My Employer has claimed that it has got sufficient number of Singaporeans to foreigners ratio.
Please suggest.

As you say they are a consultant, honestly, pray for approval within 7 days but most likely it's like 2 months...
