Am i allowed to purchase Executive Condos?

Post by choojnr » Thu, 06 Jul 2017 1:30 pm

Hi,

I'm moving to Singapore for long and will be renting a condo unit at Siglap. However, i am also interested to invest in property here, and was looking at some upcoming condominiums they term Executive condos.

Am i allowed to buy/invest in them since they are privatised after 5 years, or can i only go for normal private condominums?

Thank you.

p.s. I was looking at ecs' like kingsford waterbay or Hundred Palms
Currently Looking at: Parc Botannia

As far as I know, assuming you are not a PR, you can buy a resale executive condo on the open market only from the 11th year from its TOP.

I thought the rule was the EC must be 5 years old for a PR to buy. More than 10 and it's considered a fully private condo?

Problem is that not many have been built in recent years with preference towards DBSS. I'd happily buy an EC but also don't want to pay ABSD
