Hi,
I'm moving to Singapore for long and will be renting a condo unit at Siglap. However, i am also interested to invest in property here, and was looking at some upcoming condominiums they term Executive condos.
Am i allowed to buy/invest in them since they are privatised after 5 years, or can i only go for normal private condominums?
Thank you.
p.s. I was looking at ecs' like kingsford waterbay or Hundred Palms

Re: Am i allowed to purchase Executive Condos?
As far as I know, assuming you are not a PR, you can buy a resale executive condo on the open market only from the 11th year from its TOP.
Re: Am i allowed to purchase Executive Condos?
and pay 15% absd. That amount can buy you rental for 5 years.

I thought the rule was the EC must be 5 years old for a PR to buy. More than 10 and it's considered a fully private condo?

Problem is that not many have been built in recent years with preference towards DBSS. I'd happily buy an EC but also don't want to pay ABSDWd40 wrote:Your thought is correct.CashewNut wrote:I thought the rule was the EC must be 5 years old for a PR to buy.
