Hi fellow expats, I just got to Singapore..just wondering how do most people get their currency exchanged here that doesn't make me lose out too much like with banks?
Thanks!

Now there’s a site out there which allows you to see money changer rates all over Singapore; It’s called CashChanger and it gives you up-to-date rates for 13 currencies. Started only about 7 months ago, it now provides information from over 80 money changers in Singapore.

Yeah, I don't really see how that can work, because the rates at money changers are at their discretion. Nego a bit and up/down it goes. How's the site going to reflect that?
Plus, the money changers probably submit super attractive rates to that site to draw in the crowds. Of course by the time you've arrived at that money-changer, fat chance you're getting that rate.
