Do Indonesian FDWs need KTKLN card to return to Singapore

Hi friends

for many years, Indonesian helpers needed a KTKLN card issued in Indonesia to get through Indonesian immigration and fly back to Singapore.

However, I heard that since last month, this has been replaced by a KPIS card issued by the Indonesian embassy in Singapore.

Can I check if anyone can validate this - ie you have had a helper who returned to Indonesia and subsequently came back to Singapore using the KPIS card alone?

The embassy confirmed that this was the new policy, but I wanted to double check the actual implementation, as the ground practice in Jakarta airport say, could be different.

I just checked with a friend who is a helper and she doesn't have either and isn't aware of them. She always travels via Batam and neither card is required. Not much help but a possible alternative route if she doesn't have the card.
