Expat UK tax and Singapore tax

Post by wallamb » Fri, 02 Jun 2017 11:52 am

Hi all, so I've done my very best at googling my conundrum as I'm sure I'm not the first nor will be the last. In a nutshell, I am a British contractor and have a UK Ltd company which I am Director of. I've since got a job in Singapore as an employee of a Singaporean based company. Can anyone recommend a financial advisor or tax advisor based in Singapore with UK and Singaporean tax expertise who could advise me what my best options are. I'm not sure about double tax agreements etc etc. I have a UK based accountant but he doesn't do advice. Thanks in advance. Much appreciate

It's expensive but one of the big four usually have people with this expertise.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Hi Wallamb, I am a financial advisor with one of the independant firm.
I'm not well-verse in the aspect of tax planning yet, however if you are still seeking, I have someone in mind (a colleague) who would be able to assist.

Solicitation of business is prohibited in all the forums. You are perilously close to crossing over the line. Those who persist will find their accounts locked and all posts deleted.

Thank you.

Thanks for the warning, Strong Eagle.
By "perilously close" does it mean there's certain "key words" which if I happen to splurt I'd be kicked out immediately, but as far as I don't mention it I'd be safe?

Based on my understanding, I'm not soliciting at all.
Wallamb requested "Can anyone recommend a financial advisor", that's all I'm doing to help.

I am new to this forum and still figuring my way around. Do let me know if there's a FAQ thread around for me to familiarize with the rules.

Recommending a colleague is considered soliciting.
