Bringing Made in China LG TV into Singapore?

Post by cheerlin73 » Tue, 23 May 2017 7:53 pm

dear all,

Can someone advise whether can I bring a China made LG TV into Singapore? As I am going to move to work in Singapore, I just bought a new TV few months ago... can I bring? Same voltage?
Guess the China warranty cannot be used in Singapore?

thanks.

China uses a different digital TV over the air broadcast transmission stream than Singapore. China is DTMB, Singapore (and a lot of other Southeast Asia countries and Australia) use DVB-T. The two systems are not compatible. So unless you are only going to use the HDMI connections on the TV (set top box, DVD player, etc), you cannot use your China TV to receive over the air television.

The voltage (220) is compatible with Singapore, but you may need an adapter depending upon the plug type.

thanks Strong Eagle for your great advise again!
Is there any external DVB-TV2 tuner where I can plug my DTMB TV into? Guess all are using HDMI cable already.
