Leaving SG - need some help

Post by Sherrylings » Sun, 21 May 2017 2:27 pm

Hi all,

I am moving back to Canada at the end of Jun'17. Just wanted to know if there is a limit on cash which one can take OUT OF SG. I do plan to declare the forex I am taking out. Kindly clarify. Thanx.

If you bring out more than 50,000 you need to declare I think.

From the ICA website https://www.ica.gov.sg/page.aspx?pageid=98#currency there is no limit but you must declare anything over $20,000.

Don't forget Canada has a rule on declaring what you bring in to Canada.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

I will be more localised when I tell my colleagues I am coming home, when 'leaving work', because one always COMES HOME !!! Never goes Home.
