Validity of Civil Union from EU in Singapore with a SP

Post by Leotech » Mon, 08 May 2017 5:38 pm

Hello to everybody,
I am an Italian student living in Spain with my partner, native from Turkey.
We are officialy a couple (etherosexual), since August 2016, when we signed a Civil Union
contract by the European Union law.
I received a studying offer from a Singaporean University, and if I will accept, I will apply for a Student's Pass to reside in Singapore.
My question is, can I bring my partner alongside me to Singapore? Can we obtain a working permit for her, since I will be a student?

Thank you so much

From ICA

3. Can I sponsor my spouse and child for a Social Visit Pass?

Upon your submission of a Social Visit Pass application to the Visitor Services Centre of ICA, a 6-month Social Visit Pass may be considered for your spouse and child if your Institute of Higher Learning is sponsoring your application. All applications are considered on its own merits

Pretty sure someone on a SVP can't work.
