You don't need a contract to enter Singapore.

IPA copy is enough.

Is that what you want to clarify ?

What do you think a "contract letter" is? Are you thinking it is your offer of employment from the company? If not, what then?

True, It says invalid, when I checked on EPOL.

BTW, what causes the message invalid FIN No ??

Thinking aloud, I wonder if the person got a WP/TEP/WHP or something ?

I dunno about those other passes but 'G' is definitely the first letter of an EP FIN number.

A quick Google search reveals that all foreigner passes will start with G.

Most, not all. I have a fair number of WP holders with passes that also start with F as well. (I think they probably ran out of numbers for F and that is when the G prefix started.

If the FIN doesn't match the Passport number it's invalid. Simple.

Agent has probably been using the same Fin number for all of the jobseekers he suckers. Just changes the names on the letter.

EPOL says invalid FIN based on FIN no.

I doubt this guy knows the date of application to verify WPOL.

You are right.

This is what Wikipedia says:

Structure of the NRIC number/FIN

The structure of the NRIC number/FIN is #0000000@ where:

# is a letter that can be "S", "T", "F" or "G" depending on the status of the holder.

Singapore citizens and permanent residents born before the year 2000 are assigned the letter "S".
Singapore citizens and permanent residents born in and after 2000 are assigned the letter "T".
Foreigners holding long-term passes issued before 2000 are assigned the letter "F".
Foreigners holding long-term passes issued in and after 2000 are assigned the letter "G".
