I don't know if I'm posting on the right thread. Can a foreign person like me get a scholarship program for nursing in Singapore? I'm planning to shift career from IT to nursing. It's like I've been thinking lately that I'm just creating websites and earn a lot of money where all what I want in life is to help people and I find it very rewarding if I will become a nurse.
I've been browsing some scholarship sites and I don't have any SG friends to help me too. Can anyone advice me if it is possible to apply scholarship online? And what are the other sites to apply.
I choose Singapore because it was my dream to live in your city. I'm still young and I want to reroute my life having a career while helping people besides I don't want to become rich.
Thank you for anyone who will answer.
You can't do part time nursing in Singapore.scentedghost wrote:Really? I'm from PH. Was it hard to study nursing there while working?
If, as you claim, earn a lot of money, why do you think about a scholarship? Scholarships should be for talented people who have no means of support for the education. Paying for your own studies, if you can afford this, will help another person to get the scholarship and later help other people too.scentedghost wrote:Hello!

I see studying part-time nursing is impossible there.
I don't know what else to do aside from I want to leave home right now. Aist.
Anyway, thank you!!! You are a great help tho I don't know you personally.
Actually if she graduates as a nurse in PH, she is forced to volunteer for upto 6 months or more, AFTER Graduation, before clocking the PRC requirementtaxico wrote:nursing is not for everyone.
you should go volunteer regularly (regular schedule, preferably many hours at a time) at a hospice or old folks' home. try to get into the unfair messy putrid side of it and see if you can find it acceptable.
if you do, go for it! it's a calling for some people that don't mind.
