Tourist Visa to Singapore Urgent

Post by ZAT » Tue, 25 Apr 2017 12:15 am

Hello everyone,

I am an Indian studying in Canada and I am meeting my family in Hong kong(They will come from India) then we will travel to Singapore together in May.

Unlike in India, where my parents can apply through an agent to get their visit visa. There is no option for an authorized visa agent in Canada and they request us to apply to the consulate general of Singapore Toronto directly. I have been trying to get in touch with them and no one is getting back.

Please help as I am running out of time.

I have flight tickets to and out of Singapore and hotel bookings confirmed already.

If you fly SQ, they can reached out, for visa in Singapore.

Since you mentioned HK, I guess you are on CX.

Do you have any friends or relatives in Singapore?

Or ask your parents to call Singapore High Comm in India.

You can ask your parents to concern Singapore Embassy in India where they may get both Hongkong or Singapore Visa. You can simply hire any travel agency who can help you in Singapore express visa.
Singapore - The best and most scenic place I have ever seen.

No one is getting back? You mean you call them, they pick up the phone but don't respond to you?

most of the times the calls end up in voice mail ! Of course they aren't gonna call back an overseas number ...

Really? So how do the Singaporeans manage if they need some urgent consular help? A typical developed country consulate has some working hours set when they respond to calls and such. This, plus an emergency number.

Singaporeans' are different, they will and have sent consulate staff to help for SG IC Holders !!! :D

Plus they do have 24x7 phone for each country consulate that can be reached.

OP is NOT an SGn ;) And a visa clarification is NOT an emergency I guess ;)

You are implying they have the phone switched to voice mail all the time and they pick it up only if a Singaporean calls. This I don't know, but I would think of it as weird.

With a lot of apologies, you are reading a lot of things from my words, words that are not there.

If you are unable to hold on till you got an operator, and you left a voice mail quoting your IC Number etc, and explain the urgency, they will call you back, regardless which part of the planet you are in, I am sure of that.

Everything else - Best effort basis. Or so I believe.

Peace !!!
