Christ has risen and is alive!
(Easter is far more important to Christians than Christmas btw).

Happy belated Easter. Are you aware that easter was originally a pagan festival and later adopted by Christians as a religious celebration

? Just one of those facts and tidbits that is fun to know.

And the holiday is calculated based on lunar calendar as it is associated with the Goddess Eostre who is associated with the moon. And she is known to have a pet rabbit.
Just like Chang er who resides on the moon with her pet rabbit. However, Chang er and the moon festival is being celebrated during mid autumn though. And China's lunar moon exploration is named after her.

Interesting stuff. Yes - it is lunar because it follows the Jewish calendar . Christ was crucified on passover as prophesied in the Old Testament; passover uses the lunar calendar for calculation of the date. It should really be no surprise that old civilisations such as the Chinese and Hebrews adopted the lunar cycle (as well as solar cycles and planetary movements) as a time keeping mechanism. That does not of course disprove any of Easter to me anymore than I believe there is a pet rabbit on the moon (I have a pet rabbit in my house though).
