He brought everything he could think of. His current passport and the one from when he lived in Singapore, documentation from the university, documentation from the Canadian process (ITA and request letter).cuonglv wrote:So you mean ICA won't reveal the FIN number whether you come in person.
When your husband came to SPF . Did he bring any document to show them .

So All the thing I need to do are come to SPF and beg them, but what you mean by came to ICA to get NO.
I had checked my Passport , there was nothing there . Last time I studied in Singpore so ICA managed my info, not MOMsingaporeflyer wrote:cuonglv wrote:Thanks Alzs to much

when did you work in SG? MOM has a facility to look up Pass status based on Passport Number. You may try that if you worked in SG in the last 10 years. Also, your old passport would have a stamp with your FIN number written on it?
When is last time - 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?cuonglv wrote:I had checked my Passport , there was nothing there . Last time I studied in Singpore so ICA managed my info, not MOMsingaporeflyer wrote:cuonglv wrote:Thanks Alzs to much

Why dont you ask your university to help you? They will have your records?cuonglv wrote:7 years, from 2010singaporeflyer wrote:When is last time - 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?cuonglv wrote:

Hi Alzsalzs- wrote:I am the original poster.cuonglv wrote:Hi every body
I have the same issued . Couldn't apply COC without FIN number . I plan come to ICA inperson to request. But ICA replied me in email that they were unable to disclose the information whether it is requested personally or via email.Any body success to request in person.
My husband managed to retrieve his fin, but he had to go to Singapore and spent 5 business day there until it was solved.
I'll summarize here:
He went several times to ICA, spf, to our country's embassy, to the Canadian embassy and even to a lawyer.
In the end, the officer from spf managed to get his fin. I have no clue if it was from official methods or if she pulled some favor to help him out.
So, go to ica and get your NO, and then go beg on spf.
Other ways you may discover your fin: get a job offer (if you know someone who owns a company, MOM will inform the fin). If you ever filled a police report in Singapore, your embassy might be be able to retreave the report and get your info.
Good luck!

Did your husband get the FIN number in the first time came to SPF , or he had went there to beg too many time .
I mean go to ICA first so you can show spf the effort to obtain your fin. Oh, I forgot, my husband also went to the university, but they had already said over email they didn't have his fin on his records.cuonglv wrote:Hi Alzsalzs- wrote:I am the original poster.cuonglv wrote:Hi every body

@ecurelix, I'm just stating that things as they happened and finally worked out for us. It was a really stressful week noy knowing weather we would succeed obtaining the coc or not. My point is thats we really don't know how the FIN appeared on the coc appeal. Maybe ICA replied to them with the number. Maybe the officer got it from an old police report (my husband filed one when living there). Or maybe something else happened.ecureilx wrote:alzs- wrote:

I have no clue with the same MO will work for others, that's why I mentioned other possibilities. Getting the job offer would be our next move if things didn't work out at spf.
One thing is for sure: we will never forget this damn fin!
