Read a lot of posts where people faced delay in getting employee pass for the year 2016.
Anyone who recently got employee pass in this year 2017.

Ah, that makes more sense.
As far as I know the delay has increased, not decreased. Very few passes get approved in a week or less.
Maybe let's for the others to chime in.

Hello,
I am in India and got an offer in Singapore. They have applied for my EP few days back with salary of S$5800 after checking in the tool. Now the EP tool says, my eligibility is S$6K. Will I still get EP approved? Someone plz help me to understand this process? Thanks in advance.

Apply and pray.
The tool is a general guideline.

MOM formally told my company HR that EP processing times have increased from 1 week to 3 weeks (understand some applicants in 2016 waited longer...) and they have a special 'deep dive' review process for suspect applications that takes up to 2 months.
It seems MOM is formalizing the delays experienced in 2016.

Yes.That's the only option. But would like to know if anyone has faced the same situation and got their EP approved?

Nobody's situation is the same. Unless you and your family and history are clones.
When will you people ever learn!
