Can I buy bamboo seeds in SG?

Post by rhbj03 » Sun, 26 Mar 2017 10:15 am

I like to buy some "Chinese Timber Bamboo" seeds. Does anyone know if this is available in SG and where?

Or, any big bamboo that produce good eating shoots will do.

bamboo is a grass. Much easier to grow from a shoot than from seed.

Yes but unfortunately I have to travel long distance, and I am getting other plants as well, so must go for seeds.

I went to several nurseries around Culdecutt MRT; all have very limited selection, just some vegetables.

Would you believe, growing bamboo? Makes a nice privacy break if planted across the front of your property (assuming you own a freehold bunglow or say a duplex). That or you are raising pandas :)
