Change Spass to LTVP- Does bad feedback in MOM affect the result ??

Post by Utdzeo » Thu, 16 Mar 2017 4:26 pm

Hi. I'm a Spass holder who work in Singapore abt 2yrs. Recently I have conflict wit my employer and I resigned.
My boyfriend and I will tie the knot in end of April at ROM
My last working day is mid of May
After my Spass is cancelled, he will apply LTVP for me.

The question is:
My boss threaten me that he will write a complain letter or bad feedback to MOM in the duration I work for his company, then after he cancel my Spass, I can't get LTVP.
But Spass is under MOM, LTVP is under ICA. So I'm not sure if these 2 govt agencies are related or not. And will bad complain in MOM really affect ICA to approve my LTVP ?? I feel worry abt it. Thanks ppl for reading.

I wouldn't worry about it. Both ICA and MOM are used to disgruntled employers trying to stab foreign employees in the back. However, having said that, if there is any merit to their claims 'then' it could have an impact, but highly doubtful.

Unless you were a maid permit holder, MOM doesn't bother much about such complaints without merit ..
