I flew in on the day you posted and asked the cabbie the same question as there was definitely something in the air when we headed into the Marina Bay area. He said "no haze" and there was no smell either once I got out, but you could see that something was off as the colours of the buildings suddenly had this 80's retro look to them due to something in the air.
