Choosing an Expat Health Insurance
Choosing an Expat Health Insurance
Hi there!
I am changing jobs at the moment and looking for an expat insurance as my new company's plan looks pretty basic. Insurance broker proposed a few options. Appreciate your advice/feedback on the following insurers. To my shame, I've never heard about them before.
1. À La Carte Health (ALC)
2. APRIL
3. William Russell
4. Now Health
I could also consider other suggestions within S$3K (annual premium) including out-patient cover, no dental & maternity required.
Thanks.

Never heard of all these before too. Are you open for local insurance firm?

I am receiving some coverage from AXa, but not for my family, do you know if I can add coverage to a corp plan?

Re: Choosing an Expat Health Insurance
Never heard any of those insurance firms in Singapore. I suggest you to choose an insurer with a good presence in Singapore, otherwise it would be very difficult to process your claims. I bought a health and hospitalisation insurance in Singapore with AIA. I have a couple of friends who has insurance with Prudential and Great Eastern as well. No problem processing claims at all. To my knowledge there is no difference price wise on premiums between expats vs locals. The difference is just that locals can pay their premiums using their MEdiSave, thats all.

I also want to know the same thing.

If it is a group plan then yes you can do a simple addition, just talk to your HR and Finance.maybeSing2017 wrote:I am receiving some coverage from AXa, but not for my family, do you know if I can add coverage to a corp plan?
Otherwise if it is a personal plan you will have to apply it like how you did it in the first place.

Do you reckon he's still around? He only made 5 posts and the last one was 2.5 years ago.
