Hi,
My DP renewal has been pending for close to 4 months now. I was issued a visit pass for a month on the day my DP expired in early Jan, which was extended for another month. This is expiring on Saturday and another extension has been requested which I understand is subject to rejection/approval. Should I book tickets to fly home to avoid overstaying because I don't want to get into trouble with ICA. There's also another issue about tax clearance. I was working on an LOC until my DP expired in Jan. However my company failed to raise an IR-21 and did that only last week when I got a no filing notice from IRAS. Since it takes about a week for processing, will I be stopped at Changi if I were to leave. The tax amount isn't a lot and my husband will continue to be working here. But I want to do the right thing and get it cleared if I can before I leave.
A little background on my situation. Have been living in SG for 8 years. Husband's EP and son's DP got extended while mine's been pending due to vetting. We checked with MOM about the status and the first time they said educational vetting in my home country (We could understand the delay due to how painful it is to get information from universities in India). Last time we checked with MOM, the officer said it is with a local government agency now and the educational vetting has been completed and they have expedited the case. I'm currently pregnant and was hoping to have the baby delivered here. But we are not sure of anything right now and do not want to take any chance and fly close to the due date.
Any helpful suggestions as to what the right thing to do. Thanks in advance.

please help and suggest my issue as well.
I am on EP and my company helped me to apply DP for my 2 years old son. It was rejected and appeal was made at once. waiting time was 3 weeks. before 3 weeks, MOM emailed to company that appeal would be pending for another 3 weeks. How would the result be like? My boy is currently on visit pass and visit pass cannot be extended for another month because of this pending appeal. now, no choice, i am sending him back.
please suggest. another 3 weeks would be due in mid of this month.

I would suggest you wait the additional 3 weeks is up as per the MOM and see what they say.
If your son have to go back , he have to go back.

hopefully, NO.
I just wanted to relieve myself.

Depends on why the DP was rejected in the first place and also with what reasons the company did the appeal.

Extended overseas stay has seen REP renewals denied.

Odds are he will have to return to Singapore in order to renew his REP. Additionally, he will probably have to pay a $100 fine (if they will renew it at all). It used to be $100, I cannot vouch that it is still the same.
