Within a week, my employer applied for my EP and got it approved with ease. Now that i am changing my job and my EP with the new employer got rejected and an appeal is under process. I have the following doubts in my case:

1. Since i was in LTVP before converting to EP, after my last working day, when my EP is cancelled, will i go back to LTVP or would i be given the same 30 day STVP?

2. Since am not completely dependent on EP, i thought of applying for my LTVP with PLOC and ICA suggested me to do so. What will happen if my LTVP gets approved before my EP Appeal's final decision comes?
3. Can an appeal status be tracked only by the employer?

Looking forward to your guidance on this case. Thank you.
1. 30 days visit visa
2. You can choose if you want to be on LOC or EP. Dont try too many things in parallel at the same time and make them feel you are confused. Why cant you be firm on ONE thing that you want?
3. For the moment, yes. Long ago, employee also can check the status using EPOL when it turns to example : Approved. Not sure at the moment if it still remains the same.

Looks you are confused and rushing.

Hi friends I am married with Singaporean in India , I come here on visit pass and apply for LTVp on 25 feb ,it's still pending . How much more time it will take to get approved ??
And I want to go back to India becoz I was working in India . It will put effect on my LMTV if I go back to India in processing time ?? Becoz some people say my application will rejected if I exit the country.

Hi Dinesh,

I don’t think your presence is required all the time in Singapore during the period of application. In my scenario, I had written to ICA asking if my presence in SG was required during the application process and I was told that they generally advice us to stay but if there is a situation which needs you to go back to your country, it can be done.

These are the exact words:

“Please note that we generally advice that the applicant and sponsor to submit a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) application while both parties are in Singapore. This is to facilitate any request for an interview or submission of documents that the processing officer may have. If such situation occurs, your presence is required otherwise your spouse may continue to monitor the online application while you are not in Singapore.“

Hope this helps!

Why should they issue you an LTVP if you live and work in India?

Hi... i read that some required to only give cooies of original docs and go home. Some give copies of original docs and after 1 hr got the ltvp. And some need to submit med report. So confusing.

I am waiting 4mths now and already given copies of original docs 3 mths ago and still waiting(without med report as Ica nv mention).
