Hi guys,
I am a singapore national and I applied for PR status for my wife and step-daughter who are both Chinese nationals in May(2016) last year. I saw via ienquiry this afternoon that my wife's PR application has been approved, but my step-daughter's application has been rejected. Is this normal? Since my step-daughter is 6 years old and i applied for the both of them at the same time(with my step-daughter being the dependent). Are they not considered one application?
I'm still waiting for the official letter from ICA but what can i do now? Should i appeal directly with ICA or should i try with the MPs in my constituency?
Please do share if you can because i'm not sure what is the right way(if there is a way) to pursue this further.
Thank you very much.

I submitted 1 application, with my wife as applicant and daughter as dependent. So it's very weird that there are different results for the both of them isn't it?

Under what scheme did she apply? Spouse of Singapore Citizen?

If I am not wrong, it wont be so direct for you to apply PR for your step-daughter.
FYI, your wife is your dependent in the application. But you cant apply like the step-daughter is her dependent in the application.
Search through this forum.. There were 1-2 similar cases.

Personally, I feel you would be better off immigrating to the PRC so other Singaporeans can breathe a little bit easier.
