What's the Procedure and Requirements for Extension of Stay?

I used to frequence thaivisa forums - the OP reminds me so much of some of those posters...
"It's ok", "No prostitution is ACTUALLY illegal in Thailand", "It's the girls fault - she didn't tell me her age". Completely pointless circular arguments.

I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Re: What's the Procedure and Requirements for Extension of Stay?
Nice try. I thought we were talking about why a potential sponsor would or would not feel secure in backing me, based on my ability to pay for such problems as arrests, medical problems or my financial condition. That's what I attempted to address. If I give a sponsor who happens to be a property owner enough upfront money for a 3 month rental, that appears to me to be one reason to trust me.
I never, in any previous comments, tried to build a case that ICA(or you) should be impressed(or awed) by my financial resources. I do not expect or hope ICA will grant an extension for these reasons. Alternatively, I hope ICA would see that for any extension I have enough financial resources to pay for that extension(I can prove this by submitting my current Thai and U.S. checking accounts statements).
To suggest that ICA will approve any extension would be foolish, no question. My strategy is to use the above, together with what I hope they will see is my reason for the extension and a sponsor, to grant me that one time extension. I choose NOT to share that reason with this readership.

Good Luck.

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers

unless you are confident your secret dossier is 100% fool proof, then wish you 100% success.
PS, Singapore is not like other countries where they will check your bank statement etc, so you can exceed the standard 90 day maximum stay, but again, who knows. They have make an exception specially for you.
And if your reason is that you paid for your girl's studies, that too never flew in the past. The procedures in ICA have no room to the tightly refined processes to see that as exception, from what I know ... more than enough guys have tried that kind of argument, especially when their girl friends are from Asia and still ICA never blinked.
Good luck again.

thanks. My hopes are not great; neither are my expectations. I'm expecting 30 days. Anything else will be a bonus.
