Hi everyone,
My husband and I will be moving to Singapore in late February. We are bringing our Queen (North American size) mattress with us to Singapore, and are wondering if it will be a challenge to find a bed that will fit the mattress. Also, is custom furniture very expensive, or are there reasonable options as well? Our budget for a bed is around $1200 max.
Thanks so much for your help and input!

Asian mattresses are six inches shorter in each size than their American counterparts. Hence, the beds are also six inches shorter. You will find it impossible to find a bed frame to fit the mattress because... well... why would you build a bed frame six inches longer than the mattress it will be holding.
Custom is your only answer. $$$$

Or you can possibly find one in Picket & Rail. But it will cost you. Probably cheaper to have a bed custom made locally if you insist on a standard length Western bed.
