Dependent PR application

Post by kay kay mami » Tue, 20 Dec 2016 5:57 pm

im a chinese, graduated from NTU and have applied for SPR in aug 2015 but been rejected after 4 months. After that i continue working in singapore using EP...

My husband is malaysian chinese, singapore PR for only a year. Our son was born oct 2016 and we have submitted our DPR application Nov 2016.

Being rejected once, im so scared that i will get rejected again even my husband has sponsored our application.

what makes me worried about my application is i have a few frds (china nationals) are being rejected currently. Lots of rumours going ard. Ppl are saying it's very difficult for china nationals to get singapore pr, PR quota for 2016 is finishing, ect.

What are your thoughts? Anyone has similar experience and appreciate you could share your story with me. Thanks....

No one except ICA can say that quota is finishing, etc and ICA will never publish that in the public domain. Even if you are rejected now, you can continue to work on EP / LTVP and retry after a few years. You will surely have better chances by then?

If I am still single or w/o a child, I dont mind waiting for few years. But i need to plan more for my son and i dont want my parents to travel here there to take care of my son since they have restrictions on visa. My parents can only stay in singapore for max. 1 month...

How is your parents visa related with your PR application?

Also, just because you need to plan, ICA would not speed up on your PR application.

Hi Kaykay mami, your application rejected when you're single right? Hopefully now that you apply together with your son with husband as sponsor outcome will be different :)
