Career advice for PR's foreign spouse

Post by NOWAR » Wed, 07 Dec 2016 3:51 pm

Dear Friends!

I'm a Singapore PR and living here more than seven years now. I got married last year and I am trying to get my wife here with me. As she is a foreigner, she will be applying for LTVP once she is here.

:???:
My biggest concern is finding a job for her. How well Singaporean companies will recognize her qualifications?

She did her GCE A/L and O/L exams in Sri Lanka.
She has obtained a diploma and certificates for English with good results (From Sri Lanka) She has over 5 years of experience in teaching for both young adults and children.
Currently, she is working as an English teacher in a Sri Lankan government school.

Could you kindly suggest us some opportunities or advice regarding this matter? What would be a good way to find her a job here? [-o< [-o< [-o<

Although she prefers a teaching job, Our main target is to get any kind of a decent job (for her qualifications even for a small salary). This will allow us to take the first step of our journey.

=D> =D> =D>
Appreciate your assistance. :D
Thanks!

"Carrier" is still sending 1300 jobs to Mexico - Trump saved around 800, so she could try there. ;-)

You should try the 3 Indian schools. They have a high turnover of teachers and are always looking to hire new ones on DP. From what I have heard, the pay is not very good though.
Good Luck!
