Western stable

Post by NCD22 » Tue, 06 Dec 2016 6:00 pm

Does anyone know a stable that offers western? Grew up on a farm and did rodeo most of my young life and looking for a stable that has western trained horses and tack. Even better if they have ponies for kids to learn as well. Thanks!

The only one I am familiar with at all is the Bukit Timah Saddle Club, and that's because I used to drive by their center to play a nine-hole golf course or use the driving range.... nice Sunday brunch there as well... :)

Perhaps a call to them might reveal additional useful information.

Don't know if there is anything in these two old topics but it might be worth a look.

Just to throw out little titbits of info here, not trying to be a know-it-all (daughter has a reputation in school of being a "smart a%%" and "smartie pants" due to certain inherited traits  ) but in USA, there are two styles (more??) of horse back riding. Western vs English. The saddles are build differently and also the way you rein in the horses. Given that western style is unique to USA, I wonder how popular it is with the rest of the world.
