I'm a single Mom/Malaysian working in Singapore and holding S Pass for almost 10 years. I have a son entering Primary 1 next year and we have successfully gotten a place in the local govt school that we applied. Unfortunately, his student pass application was rejected.
Anyone can advise please ?
Thank you.

- Send him to school in Malaysia staying with relatives
- Have him commute from Malaysia
- Both of you move to Malaysia
Those would seem to be the options

No, i submitted the application on 11 Nov 2016 and received the rejection on 25 Nov 2016.
I have sent an appeal through email yesterday and they replied the appeal processing time will takes 4 weeks or more. I'm running out of time, school will start by then.

That will be the last option which i dont want to. For time being, he's staying in Malaysia.
I dont want to give up the opportunity to study here just like that, we are lucky to get an approval from MOE for the school we applied for. Now just one more step to go !!!

MOE and ICA are not connected in this way unfortunately. Good luck. Personally I am astonished you got a place at all in the school.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

I'm curious why a child at the age of 7 applying a student pass can be rejected.

Some people got their pass at second time. However, my Brother had got rejections 3/4 times. Eventually he gave up.

Once you pass two or three it starts to look like spamming or desperation. Which is it? Hmmmmm?
