CFA study group

Hey..i'll be taking the level 1 CFA exam come this june...and no way am i gonna pay the crazy fees they charge for the lessons....

So i was wondering if there's any1 who would like to form like study groups? Not too sure if its gonna be helpful...but at least we can serve as motivation to one another.

Hi Kimi,

I heard that you should try to use the current notes as they change some stuff every year. Not sure if it's advisable to use old notes.

Hi, for those of you who have signed up for your CFA DEC 05 exams, can I just confirm that we have to sign up through the CFAinstitute website right? And not through some educational institution in Singapore?

Anyway, from what I have read, the Schweser Study Notes are good for those who have done their undergraduate in Finance or business but still better to maybe purchase books in the sections you are not well versed in.. I know I will have to buck up on the Financial Statement Analysis section as according to the CBOK guidelines, you need to have either a basic or advanced understanding of Financial Accounting to do well in these section.. FSA also holds the most weightage in the exams..

Anyone else have any other tips to share..Most threads that I have seen based on the CFA is on previous years...So it will be good for us sitting the DEC 05 exams to discuss our concerns...
