Job bank SG for EP holders

Post by subashgk007 » Sun, 27 Nov 2016 9:50 pm

Hello there,

Can Job bank Singapore be used by EP holders ? Recently i spoke to one of my friend, who is not sure if access is restricted to PR/citizens. When i check for new singpass registration, it says all pass holders are eligible to create one. Could someone clarify this?

Hi there ecureilx, investigated bit on this and answer to my question is "Jobs Bank, administered by the Workforce Singapore (WSG), is a free service provided to all Singapore-registered companies and local individuals (Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents)."

Look for 'Fair Consideration Framework'.

Lol... no, not at all. Its my new job and definitely will take few couple of years to decide if there is real necessity of hoping new job.

When i had a google search for "singpass uses", read few official notes stating benefits of having it.

Though the intention is for searching job in singapore for my wife, who is a new graduate in textile and apparel design. (Haven't applied for DP yet)Looks like monster, jobstreet and jobsdb are the majors. Would you recommend using gumtree to get full time jobs?

mate, just phuck off back home.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Dude, are you one of the passhole moderator of this forum unlike others?

I didn't not understand what's so wrong with the question asked. Everyone in this forum may not be experienced as you, like me few may be completely new to singapore. Keeping in mind no-one ready to babysit, do you ever understand different experience level of users?

Being honest, I was not aware jobs bank SG is just for PR/citizens while posting this question, since got confused with the singpass stuff, thought to get it clarified.

Lets see who will have the last laugh. Trump will cancel the TPP on day 1. Singapore depends almost 100% on trade. So Singapore wants trade but doesn't want immigrants, ha? UK and US can afford that arrogance, not Singapore.

Best part Trump thinks Singapore stole jobs from USA. :-D

I think you will find that Trump isn't against the TPP. What he is against is the one-sidedness of the TPP. So in that respect the TPP will have to change so that it's a win-win on both side of the Pacific and not just Asia as it stands right now. As far as Singapore is concerned, There are always individual trading pacts with the US. It's done well over the past 30 or 40 years. But if Asia is planning on doing a shortchange with the US it's going to fall hard.

So it's not gloom and doom as WD40 says ?

I thought US Singapore relationship was symbiotic ...

This article gives a good overview of what Trump presidency means for Singapore:

https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/presi ... 20452.html

Have a look at the chart which shows trade as a percentage of GDP. Singapore is 3rd highest in the world and Trump has specifically singled out Singapore among only 3 countries he mentioned.

Imagine of all countries in the world he chose tiny Singapore.

This article puts it nicely:
