Was wondering if anyone knows what time will one be allowed to board the plane for deporting from prison release day in singapore.
E.g. if release date is 1st. Can i buy a ticket for 1st at bout 11pm. As i do understand that by the time the person reaches ICA at airport would be about 3pm. Or must the ticket be on the 2nd? Any time after 12am?

Query on deporting from prison
Re: Query on deporting from prison
I would assume that the ICA is pretty efficient in this case and your friend (?) will be on a plane on the same day as release.
I'd love to know the back story. I assume you are NOT the prisoner.

I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

I don't think anybody knows this, but I also think it will be on the same day, at least to the point he is sent to the airport. How long he stays there waiting in an detention for the plain, no slightest idea. Within the same day or two, seems reasonable perfectly.
Why do you want to buy the tickets?

If you have a deportation order, you won't be released per se.PeOn wrote:Was wondering if anyone knows what time will one be allowed to board the plane for deporting from prison release day in singapore.

Having seen some deportation in the past, long long long ago, in those cases, the embassy involved was notified of the release, embassy made travel arrangements, ICA escorted the person direct to Changi, hand cuffed, and hand cuff removed once the person is in the boarding area, and escorts waited till the plane pushed back. Stand down once the plane took off.
I don't know what the crimes were and can't say how it will be for this case ...
And don't know what's the process now.
I doubt the person's gonna be let into the general public and have the pleasure of deciding when the person can leave.
