Savings accounts and maids

Post by JRJunior » Fri, 04 Feb 2005 2:32 pm

We are know 3 weeks in Singapore and we some questions. Now we heared that we have to pay the tax not in advance, like in Germany. So we have to wait one year for the bill from the goverment. We are right? How did you handle this topic? I thought, we can open an 2nd account (savings account) to park there the money. Have you any recommendations?

Our second question is regarding maids. May someone of you knows a very good Filipino maid for us. We have 2year old twin boys.

Thanks for your help in advance

Tax rates is relatively low in Sg. So, unlikely to come up to a big tax bill.

Furthermore, can pay by installments, through auto bank deduction (GIRO). So, don't have to worry about a one time big bill. See the website for details.
