Hi everyone,
I have a question for your helpful community.
My husband just got his PR application approved by the ICA. The letter was received last week on Wednesday. As a part of the PR completion formalities, it is required to complete and send to the CPF the MSHLD form which is a health declaration for the Medishield coverage.
As we would like to complete the formalities ASAP, we were wondering if any of you have completed this formality and how long it took for the CPF to issue the acknowledgement letter. They state within 10 working days on their website but I can't find a real life situation anywhere online.
It is new as part of the PR formalities completion as it was implemented end of 2015.
We went ahead and booked the appointment with the ICA for 03th of November. Do you all think the CPF would have replied by then ?
Please advise if any of you actually know how long it takes to receive the CPF letter.

You are too worried. Yes, you have to complete and send the MediShield Form. Is it mentioned that you need to bring the acknowledgement to the PR Appointment?

7 working days (Saturdays not included), from the day I mailed to Medishield.
And yes, you need to wait for this acknowledgment letter to proceed.
Don't forget the Medical report. That took 4 working days.

We booked our formalities appointment for 3 weeks out the same day we sent the application for Medishield.
Everything else can be done in parallel, although your employment certificate can't be dated more then 10 working days prior to the appointment.
We received acknowledgement for medishield enrollment within 6 working days (Monday to following Tuesday).

Hi everyone,
Can I know if it took you 6 - 7days to receive the acknowledgement letter in Singapore or were you overseas at that time? We are currently in Hong Kong and do not have an address in Singapore. As the health declaration form did not have an address field for us to fill in, we assumed CPF would be using our address provided in the PR application to mail the acknowledgement letter back to us.
Thank you for your advice!
Best Regards,
Laura

You can complete the MSHLD online, instant results and you just need to print it out.
Why even bother mail?
This is the problem when people dont search this forum for guides.

dynamic_dante,
now you know why some of us occasionally get a little cranky after answering the same questions for the umpteenth time!

The PR applicant does not have a singpass account.

Which implies, the PR applicant was unable to request for a Singpass account unlike you did because:
Eligibility for SingPass:
1. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents
2. Passholders (Employment Pass, EntrePass, S-Pass, Dependant Pass,Long Term Visit Pass Plus)
3. Selected Work Permit Holders

Why not. One of our old regulars, Saint, did the same from the UK.

I'm thinking Laura's whole posts are a red herring primarily because of her post below:
Got home to find the acknowledgement letter in our mailbox in HK after 9 days.

CPF board has absolutely nothing to do with PR applications. Only ICA.
AND ALL her posts are coming from the 'peens according to her IP addy.
