I am gonna pick this up again after a year and didn't feel the need to create a new topic. I have a new question.

Does the company also affect your PR chances,

I have about 2 offers in the range of ~90K - 95K One from an MNC world leader and other from a Singaporean company (As Singaporean it can get).

If I join the Singaporean company do I have an advantage in my PR application.
FYI: I still haven't applied my PR, I did have my 2 years EP renewed for 3 more years. I ask this since I wish to stay here long term and it would be helpful for me to choose the right company, if it really matters.
Company plays a small part in a PR application. What matters more is how can you contribute to the country.

Choose your company based on your goals and aspirations and not just because you want PR. If you choose a company just for getting your PR, what if you don't like the job and also don't get your PR?

Obviously that all is paramount.. I have weighed out both the pros and cons, both have their own. Both very competitive and challenging
Just wanted to know if it does since I am also looking out for the future.

You future should be focusing on your career and not just getting PR. If you stay long enough, do well in your career, earn well then PR will come automatically.

Hello,

Picking up this from where we left.

I haven't made a PR application yet. However I would like to make one this year soon. I am going to complete 5 years this year.

Question I have is that I have recently got married, so do you apply with your wife in one application since she has recently moved to singapore or my own application alone.

Does applying with my wife help.

Ps : my current profile

Age 28
Indian
Data science / machine learning
Salary 110k++

Stay in Singapore 4.5 years.

Your situtation is very tricky as you are recently married. Any option with/without wife in the application may end up on any result.

Better wait for 2 years after marriage and apply together or since machine learning is in demand now, you can apply now for yourself alone taking a bit of risk.

Have taken the leap and applied, but my wife also now secured a job here.

Not sure if I need to update ICA or if it even helps.

Any changes in the applicant status u are expected to update ICA. Beyond that whether it helps or not, we cant say. Even if we say, it wont matter to you as you prefer to take the leap irrespective of the advise here.

I feel that all hope is not lost on Indians, just need to persevere and keep being good at what you do. Eventually it will come through.

So combined household income of 350k at the age of 31, sure great formula to get PR. Indian young high achievers are given PRs this is a known fact. That makes it hopeless for most of us.

Indian young high pot in the desired industries is what you mean.

No one cares about bankers WD.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Indeed. In fact banking/financial services is becoming a bit of a protected trade for Singaporeans a bit like taxi drivers, thats why you have MoM prescribing higher salary levels for EP for financial services vs all other industries out there.
