FDW visa issues

Hi,

We want to bring our Indonesian FDW from HK to Singapore. So far, so simple.

Except, she used to work in Singapore around 2000 or so. But the maid agency in Jakarta that got her that job has long closed, and she hasn't kept passports from that far back or copy of her SIN IC card number from back then.

Agency say that if we bring her in as 'fresh' FDW, she will be deported as we would have lied on her forms - and the fingerprinting will show she has worked there. Fair enough.

But they also say that because we can't fill in the forms properly (with previous passport & IC details) the application won't be processed... Catch 22 time!

Any thoughts/ next steps?

I would just include some explanatory note allowing to identify the lady. If her name is the same and date of birth and the birth place then likelihood to have more than one such person working for a given period in Singapore is very low, so MoM should be able to make the link pretty easily.

BTW, why not to call MoM and ask?

I just did call them - MOM said to attach letter explaining the situation & they will get back to us.
