Paralympics are not getting the same attention as Olympics

Post by menudown » Wed, 14 Sep 2016 10:26 am

The same build up should be seen, the same amount of news reports should be seen and most importantly they deserve the same respect and value as an able-bodied athletes.

From my perspective, the Paralympians are achieving much much more than the Olympians.

In some ways, they learn to walk, run or swim in a way that is not natural. That is an achievement. That is worth watching and celebrating.

Each olympic event should be run interleaved with a disabled event and normally abled event.

i.e. 100M blind race, 100M normal race, 100M cripped/wheelie race.
