And the reason for that is because those renewals are being vetted like brand new applicants to ensure there were no fraudulent docs submitted and the experience originally claimed also existed. You see, they are having no qualms about not renewing people who have been here on work passes for 4 to 6 years already. I know. My S pass staff has dropped between levy reduction and losses on renewals from 55 around 4 years ago to 13 at the moment. Renewals are going through the same process as new applications do. Minimum of three months. That's why they tell employers to ensure that they apply at least three months early (but not more than six).

Especially after the 3 professors and a even higher man was found to have manufactured stuff or claimed credit for others work, even though it was the Uni's fault ... MOM received a lot of flak for it.

Yea I also mean it for renewals. That indicates new applications will also get delayed right, probably bcoz of more focus on verification.

If you are using an agency, maybe forever.

Some of the body shops are being closely monitored.

Not all, some of them.

If your agent is planning to keep you under their own pay roll, it may take longer for processing.. Much longer.. And your approval may get shot.

Direct hire by employer ? If they don't have a strong Singaporean core, it tough times ahead.

My employer is also a job consultancy and payroll is under consultancy itself. So should I expect a long delay? How long approximately ?

At the moment, I may suggest, take up a part time job while waiting ...

If you read again, quite a few consultants who have been body shopping are being closely watched for ignoring local candidates and only going for fellow countrymen... if yours is being monitored, don't hold your breath.
