You have hit the nail on its head. That has been the simplistic, short sighted thinking of those who plan the economy. It goes like, hmnnnnnnnn....... how do I generate economic growth and wealth for this country? By attracting people with wealth and the kind of activities enjoyed by them. Rather than investing in its own people. Encouraging enterprises (yes, it means accepting failures), an education system that educates the mind (get rid of those silly censorship laws) and allowing them to exercise their creativity and ingenuity (yes, even when they don't toe the official lines ) .
Good for you WD40. For not supporting their modus operandi. It is simply not sustainable. This way of doing business. Cutting corners and taking short cuts.
