Couple new to Singapore seeks new buddies

Post by Marsy » Thu, 11 Aug 2016 10:30 pm

Hi everyone, my name is Marion.
Myself and my partner Eddie(both 37) have recently moved to Singapore and would love to meet new buddies for dinner/drinks/coffee catch-up's. We are both Irish but have been living in Australia up to recently. Both active, love the outdoors, travelling, running, cycling etc
Let me know who's keen :D

Hey there, I've been looking for cycling/kayaking buddies for a long time. I'm single 25, male. If you guys are ok with hanging out with a younger single male do ping me. I also love outdoor sports...

I'm up for cycling at some point in the future (have to get my bike fixed after it was damaged in the move).

I'd not that unless you have a folding bike, transporting it around the island to meet up won't be the easiest; unless I've missed something with the MRT/Bus rules.

Nope you've read correctly, only folding bikes allowed on public transport, outside rush hour.

Plenty of people transport via taxi, just remove the wheels.

Oh, cool, I wasn't sure if Taxi's would allow that - will make cycling at east coast park easier... Now I won't have to cycle ~10km on the roads to get there.

If you check NParks site, you may find park connectors to avoid roads.

Or do what I did, move to the East Coast. I got tired of cycling to reach the park too.

I actually went looking through that site and worked out the ~10km route, except 2km or so was needing to be on the road/footpath (not quite legal, from what I've read).

Move to the East Coast? Do you have a vehicle?
