PR Application request to expedite status after 1 year?

Post by dynoto » Tue, 02 Aug 2016 1:20 pm

Just a short history of mine, PR application was submitted on June 2015 and currently is on its 13th Month+

So today i drop them a call to request if there is any more details or whether the decision is near finalizing, in which the CSO mentioned "what we see is what you see on iEnquiry", so yeah ... cool ... wasn't expecting much ...

Though curiously she did mention that "you can send a request to expedite the process, as your application has went past one year", which to my surprise that you can actually did that?

Or the CSO is just a newcomer to ICA's internal processes and babbling nonsense :D

In the past, any request to expedite generally returned a rejection :) I know, it may have been pure coincidence :)

Yeah, she must be a new staff.

Yes I'm sure they'll be happy to pull your application out; give it a cursory review and reject it. /s I once dated a civil servant - they operated under a high stress, highly monitored and overwhelming work load.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Maybe, but (as PNGMK suggests) "be careful what you wish for." ;) Statistically speaking, a rejection is much more likely than an approval. A nondecision is not the former.
