Applied for Student Pass 3 Weeks ago... Still "Receiving Attention"

Post by Kylie87 » Fri, 29 Jul 2016 10:59 pm

Hi all,

I'm an American MBA student, in Singapore to study abroad at NUS's business school for 1 semester this fall.

I submitted my e-form 16 to ICA on 3 July, but my application status is still "receiving attention". Classes begin in a little over a week, so I'd really like to get this sorted out soon.

Does anyone know what the delay might be? Is it just because it's peak season?

Thank you for any advice or insights!

Are you an American Citizen? You don't state that in your opening post. All you stated was that you were an American MBA student. That could mean you were from Malaysia or the Philippines or Vietnam and went to the US where you were doing your MBA. Can you clarify, as your email suggests that you are actually a native of one of the ASEAN countries. Please clarify.
