Piano teacher diploma qualification

Hi,

Would like to find out if I need to have a diploma in piano teaching i.e. ATCL/ALCM (teaching) in order to teach students of higher grades (6-? Or can a perfomance diploma suffice? Of what additional advantage does a teaching diploma serve?

I currently have a ABRSM Grade 8 practical and Grade 5 theory. Currently started having lessons for Grade 8 theory and also hoping to do diploma but not sure which one I should go for. Can someone pls enlighten me?

Mentioning piano, I am relocating to Singapore to teach piano with a school and graduated in piano in college and all I noticed was a Singapore Yamaha Piano School website that spelled out its interview requirements for their different teachers. Could someone tell me the typical salary monthly wage with these and similar schools? Sorry, I don't know how to get the diploma but I am interested in the answer, too.
