Re: Anyone know about CDG grant in Singapore?
A lot of it depends if you have an existing business or not. If this is an existing business (with revenue) and you're embarking on a project to build a technology platform to better manage that business then you may be able to get approved for a CDG grant. Note though, for ICT projects you'll need to run the application through IDA and the whole process can take quite some time probably at least 6-8 weeks. I would also be careful about the site you mention and make sure you review the actual requirements and allowed uses on SPRING's website (http://www.spring.gov.sg/Growing-Busine ... grant.aspx)
For companies building a brand new product/service, you're better off looking at the Productivity & Innovation Credit (https://www.iras.gov.sg/irashome/Scheme ... it-Scheme/) where you can claim back 40% (previously 60%) of your development costs. There are a few important things when it comes to claiming PIC, however, as there was quite a bit of abuse of the system previously. Generally for your claim to be successful you need to show that the development was complete and the product is "in use", which they tend to define as having customers AND generating revenue at the time of the claim. The process can be a bit more opaque than CDG as well because your projects are not pre-approved and you have to hope that when you claim, whoever is reviewing the claim agrees that the project truly met the PIC standards.
