Hey everyone,
I just moved into a place and have been there for a week now. Yesterday, the other tenants paid a guy to service all the aircons, including mine. The bill came out to be $180. Now they are asking to split it between the 4 of us, meaning $45 from me.
However, I haven't used the aircon all that much and even if I did, I've only been here for a week. Is this normal? Don't people usually service the aircons before a new tenant comes in? I don't know the courtesy in this case.

You don't pay in this bill for the use but for periodic maintenance. Formally it should be defined in your agreement (or a master TA your agreement points to) how often the maintenance should be done. If it is defined, than it's very simple, you just divide your lease duration by the period (how often) and you pay as many times as it gets from the simple math.AirconServiceGuy wrote:Hey everyone,
