Hello guys, I applied for my PR under my parents before I was 21 years old. My step-father is a Singaporean and my Indonesian mother is a Singapore PR here. Last time it was rejected stating that "your PR application is not successful but you can stay under your student pass". I have graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor's Degree in March 2015.
I appealed my rejected PR through my street area MP and the iEnquiry showed that the status is once again "Pending". The application date stated on 31 December 2015 and till now it has been 6 months. Please, does anyone experience like this before? I need to know results so that I can know what my next step is.
Thank you.

You need to show that you are capable of contributing independently to Singapore without your family. Do you have a job and three tax assessments for example?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

What is your current residency status here? Dependent Pass?, LTVP? I know you were on a Student Pass, but now? How long have you lived in Singapore?

Hi there, currently I am just under STVP to visit my family in and out from Indonesia. I've tried applied for SPass and EPass and it keeps getting rejected for 6 times simultaneously. This PR application is applied under my parents' merit before I was 21 years old.
I have lived in Singapore for almost 4 years now including my study period.

Hi there, I have not been able to secure a job in Singapore because my working pass keep getting rejected. However, both of my parents did file their tax and CPF like any usual resident did. Thank you.

You cannot apply for those passes. An employer applies for those passes on your behalf. I was going to write a long email on how post you are but won't in the spirit of ramadan.....
1. Find an employer who wants to give you a job. Note that even in this case it's extremely hard for employers to get passes for Indonesians because LKY hated them. You basically need to be an extra special snowflake like a phd or medico or super talented engineer.
2. After you get a job work for your way up to where you are an attractive candidate for CITIZENSHIP and then apply for PR.... This means earning a good income and appearing to be a positive contributor to Singapore. This means a consistent record of increases in salary and responsibility in a profession that Singapore current wants as well as not being gay and possibly being a provided of male children (cannon fodder for NS).

Yes, I did that. I've found some employers that willing to apply pass for me. However, the MoM did not approve my working pass with the reason "The candidate does not eligible for a work pass" and I wonder why, it's just that I have completed my study in Singapore with a Bachelor's Degree.
Back to the topic, this PR application is applied under my parents and not on my own. I just wonder that how long do I need to wait for me to know the results?

As long as it takes. Are you a woman or man? If you're a man there is the problem of NS.

It will not be approved. Full stop. The moment you turned 21 the application becomes null and void as you no longer qualify as a dependent in Singapore. You are now an adult and therefore you must qualify for any/all passes on your own merit. As you are a fresher, you are not likely to get any work pass, be it WP (as an indonesian that is out of the question), S Pass or EP as you will need a certain salary level AND at least 2 to 3 years relevant experience. Why should they give you an employment pass when any local fresher could do the same job. And as I already pointed out, you will NOT get PR because you a) are above the age of majority so you can no longer piggyback on your parents status, and b) you did not do NS so they are not likely to give you PR until such time as you did that. If you wanted half a chance (I wouldn't rate it even as half a chance) you would volunteer for NS and then after completion of NS MAYBE they would consider it, but even then it's not a guarantee.
My guess is that your parents didn't apply for a residency visa for you because of NS. If that is the truth, you will NEVER get PR and may well never get an employment pass either.

Yes. IT looks like the parents did not think this through. Sorry OP. Cast your net wider. There are many other countries that welcome Indonesians.

Best bet is to move to Indonesia and make your career there. It is a huge country with plenty of opportunity for a fresh young graduate
