Moving to Singapore on Male dependent – Please need your suggestions.

Post by Alex@SG » Sun, 19 Jun 2016 4:34 pm

Hello all,

My family (Myself and Wife) are planning to move Singapore from India as wife is getting opportunity to work in Singapore (getting long term transfer from her employer to Singapore).

So in that case I would be coming on DP and would like to get the Job in Singapore.

About ourselves:

As we both are currently working in IT MNC (Investment Banking Finance domain) firm in India and both having 10+ years of experience.

So we are in dilemma should we garb this opportunity or not as we heard getting job for dependent is quite difficult in Singapore.

As we both are working so it would be difficult for anyone of us to stay at home without any work.

Your input/suggestions are really important for us and we really appreciate it.

Thanks in Advance

Getting a job for a DP is just a function of the market demand. However I'd suggest you look a job on an EP basis - i.e. while here look for an employer who will sponsor you for an EP. That gives you both some redundancy.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
