IRAS tax deduction thread

Post by PNGMK » Fri, 17 Jun 2016 10:44 pm

Income tax here is starting to creep up. The 2016 budget included a note about increasing the rates and the discount in 2015 has stopped.

This is my list current list of deductions - I thought I'd put them up and make sure I haven't forgotten any or whether anyone has any to contribute:
1. SRS - good for $1000 straight off payable tax.
2. Course fees - if you're in a course that you paid for (even a foreign one).
3. Foreign maid levy (for working women).
4. Life Assurance.
5. Working Mother Child Relief (women), Qualifying child relief (men)
6. Earned income ($1000)
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
