I 3500 is too low i guess.You need at least 1500 SGD for your monthly expenses for a single bachelour.(Accommodation+Food+Transport etc)

It's possible. You would have to live very frugally and it probably wouldn't be much fun. But plenty of FDWs live on far less, support families abroad and still seem pretty happy, on Sundays at least.

Basically it's down to the sort of lifestyle you are willing to tolerate.
